Car Travel
For those wishing to drive to Oxford, please note there is minimal parking in Oxford city centre and cars cannot be left for more than 72 hours in some Park & Ride car parks. Unless your booked accommodation has car parking available you will not be able to park your car in Oxford during the conference as we will not be able to provide you with a car parking space. Please see further information here about costs and availability of parking around Oxford. The city was not built with cars in mind, so there are many one way and pedestrianised streets that cause chaotic traffic on all days of the week. Since the collaboration meeting is taking place during the Easter holidays in the UK, expect roads around Oxford to be particularly busy. For those still wishing to drive to Oxford, from London take the M40 and exit at junction 8. From Birmingham take the M40 and exit at junction 9. From Southampton take the A34 up to the Oxford Southern-by-pass road.
